Since 2003 Australian wildlife carers have gathered to meet, learn and share their experiences. Each conference has been held in a different location, and has featured presenters from around Australia.
The conference gives wildlife carers the opportunity to learn from each other and from experts in the field including researchers, carers and veterinarians. Topics have ranged from the latest hands-on treatment for wounds to emergency response, fund-raising and lobbying.
The next AWRC conference will be held in NSW in 2018. This time, we are asking YOU to help us design the conference, through a series of short surveys over the coming months. Each one will take less than 5 minutes to complete, and will focus on one aspect of the conference.
The first survey looked at your preferences for where and when the conference will be held, and a couple of other short questions. That survey is now closed, and we thank all of you for your input. The 2018 conference will now be held in early July in the Sydney Metro area - which most people requested. As soon as we have confirmation of the venue, we will be letting you know the exact dates and venue. We are also planning another survey soon, so stay tuned for more info!
You can keep up with the latest news on our Facebook Page, where you can find more details, ask questions and talk to others about the conference. Click here to visit our Facebook page
All the information from past conferences is now available directly from this site. By clicking on the "Past Conferences" menu item you will be able to find and download all the papers available from each of the conferences.
